The popular Bobtail Commander is now available in the Valor series. Both the original Valor and the new V-Bob are available in our black duty finish over stainless steel, or a matte stainless finish.
These guns are the realization of all of their desires in a defensive style 1911. They offer everything you need and nothing you don't.
The Valor series features a forged frame with 25 LPI checkering front and back and undercut trigger guard, Heinie Ledge Straight Eight night sights and slim line G10 grips as well as billet alloy steel fire controls and all the other premium small parts you have come to expect from Dan Wesson. While the components are the best available, the components alone do not make the gun. We believe the Valor series is the best built production 1911 on the market.
Look at what Grayguns had to say: http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/430601935/m/8460088672 I bought two instead of a Wilson: Valor Bobtail Commander and Valor SS. All I can say is DW is awesome! No MIM parts, G10 grips, etc., etc. I carry everyday, and love my DW. After I'm gone, don't pry it from my hands. I'm taking mine with me, when I'm gone...back to pistol heaven, where it came from.
After well over 6 months of research on which 1911 should be my first, I chose The Dan Wesson Vallor Bobtail. Nothing but flawless fit, finish & performance. If you are trying to navigate the myriad of 45 cal. 1911 choices and are considering a Dan Wesson, my advice is; pay the price or buy it twice.
Recently I purchased my 3rd new DW, this time it was the V-Bob. It seems to me that every year the folks at DW keep on getting better and better. In 2009 I said to myself "How are they gonna improve on my Classic Commander? In 2010 they did it again, and in 2011 the Quality, along with the Fit and Finish just oozes out of my new V-Bob. It scaringly can hold its own with the likes of similar 1911's costing $1000 more. Here a pic of the first 5 rounds out of my V-Bob, this was at 21ft with WWB ammo.
WOW, what a gun. Even before I added a Sprinco Recoil Reducer with a 16# spring and have hardly no barrel flip. Very accurate
As a new VBob owner what can I say it lept from the counter into my holster and never looked back. Once home and under microscopic scrutiny a small concern came up which once CZ was notified they were able to clarify and rectify. I am so impressed by the quality of their line of 1911's that I had to share. Add to that the top quality of their service reps and what an unbeatable combination. The folks at Cz are great, I thank you for your help and showing me that no matter how small a concern you are ready and willing to do whatever you can. Greatly appreciated,
as a shooter first, and instructor. I have to coment on these two guns. Outstanding fit finsh and QC.Both perform what every shooter wants reliability fit and feel, the cz-83 is the best 380 auto out there only weight could be and issue, but clearly performace and control is where these guns are at. I dont work for CZ or make any claims, am just telling you these two pistols are it! Thank you cz Joe savastano
