The CZ 75 SP-01 is the first full size handgun (4.72” bbl) from CZ to feature the improved manufacturing technology and ergonomics of the NATO approved CZ 75 Compact P-01 model. Featuring an integral 1913 accessory rail on the dust cover, rubber grip panels, and CZ’s corrosion resistant black polycoat fi nish, the SP-01 is the newest model to join the family of pistols based on the CZ 75 (SA/DA) platform. Borrowing from the improved grip geometry of the CZ 75 Compact P-01, the SP-01 utilizes an extended beavertail to protect shooter’s strong hand as well as allowing for a deeper and more secure grip. The new grip geometry with checkering in key areas on the front and back straps combined with the redistribution of mass provided by the accessory rail noticeably decreases the perceived recoil from previous models and allows for more rapid target acquisition and transitions.
The SP-01 was designed as a military and law enforcement duty sidearm. The new model is currently in use by security forces fighting the war on terrorism. Thanks to its exceptional accuracy and superior handling characteristics, the CZ 75 SP-01 has also
found supporters in the fi eld of sport and target shooting. Its list of users on the competition circuit include World Champions Adam Tyc and Angus Hobdell (1st and 3rd place respectively in 2005‘s IPSC championship, World Shoot XIV).

The attached picture is a target that my son was shooting with a .22 rifle at 20 yards so I thought i'll see if I could get close to center mass and 9 rounds later all are in the 9 ring and i'm standing there very impressed. This pistol shoots far better than I ever could and such a pleasure to shoot. I was a die hard Glock fan but because the SP-01 handled so well I will be purchasing a SP-01 Phantom for carry.

No FTEs or FTFs shooting everything from PMC and Blaser 115 FMJs to Federal HST HPs. Trigger gets better every time I use it. My buddy with the $1000+ 45 SA might be getting jealous. -

Added by ATBackpackinSo I took my new SP-01 to the range today and WOW. Now keep in mind that I have not fired a handgun a single time in over ten years so this gun is way more accurate than I make it look. You know when you have made a good shot and likewise you know when you have jerked or anticipated the shot and every time I knew it was a good shot it was dead on. This thing is so comfortable and accurate that I almost feel for the bad guys. I fired a total of 108 rds broken down into 6 mags of 115 gr fmj. Two mags of WWB, two of PMC Bronze, and two of Remington UMC. I can honestly say the only problem I had was that I didn't have a speed loader so I could shoot more, but after loading six mags by hand with new mags that my hands were killing me. This gun operated flawlessly!!! -

Added by RyanJust got my SP-01 the other day. I love the feel of this pistol. I usually shoot big bore single action, and this is my first auto (and second CZ). The accuracy is excellent, even with the cheapest ammo I could get my hands on. This is one slick little gun, there are a lot of choices out there and I'm really happy I went with a CZ. -
