Designed in 1975, the CZ 75 is the flagship model of the CZ handgun line with over one million produced. An entire family of pistols is available based on the basic CZ 75 design: compacts, decockers, single action only, ambidextrous, alloy frames as well as competition pistols.
The 75 B features a steel frame, a black polycoat finish, 3 dot sights, 16+1 9mm capacity (12+1 in .40 S&W) and, of course, the ergonomics and DA/SA action that have made it the most copied handgun design second only to the 1911. The 'B' designation is an indicator that the model is equipped with a firing pin block safety.
CZ 75 B is used by more governments, militaries, police and security agencies than any other pistol in the world. The CZ 75 is quite possibly the perfect pistol.

I bought my Cz75b about the time I started doing some security work. I carried it for a while. I became a fulltime instructor later and I and my students have shot this Cz EXTENSIVELY. I bought a Kadet Kit for it, and that has added hugely to the versatility of the pistol. I teach with the Cz, the 1911, the GLOCK, and the Smith and Wesson revolvers. All are iconic classics, and I have to say that the Cz has proven to both most accurate 9mm I own and the most reliable. The only pistols I have that have proven more accurate are one 1911 target gun and a Smith &Wesson k38 Masterpiece, and they don't beat it by much. The Kadet kit is practically as accurate as some target model .22s I have. If I were to be limited to one pistol, the Cz75 and Kadet kit would be on the top of the list. This gun is a keeper.
I am an American of Japanese descent, forth generation in the US. My family used to be a samurai. We even have our family emblem passed through our generations. In the ancient times in Japan, my the men of my family carried samurai swords. Today, as a descendant, I owe it to my familial line to carry the modern version: my CZ-75B. I would like to thank CZ-USA for the fantastic list of their holster manufacturers in their FAQ section. They were able to lead me to a fantastic customer-service oriented custom leather holster make called Alfonso's of Hollywood, who was able to make a holster fit for my CZ-75B, complete with custom red threading and my ancient Japanese samurai family emblem - the "Go-san-kiri" mon.
After 9/11 I went out to buy my first handgun. I wanted more than a .22 rifle in my house. Put my hand around a number of other big name handguns and none of them felt good. Put my hand around a CZ75B and it was majic. Felt great, the balance was there, and the weight was good. Went to the range and it was fantastic. The gun was accurate, the recoil was minimal, and the reliability was perfect. I've put over 1500 rounds through my first 75B and I am buying another because my wife likes it so much that we need another. Very accurate, very low recoil, very reliable, and very easy to handle for small hands.
A gun smith I knew, knew I was looking for a 9mm pistol for a reasonable price. He had his buddy hold a Taurus 709 for me and when I went to pick it up, the Taurus was inferior to what I expected in every way. That's when I saw the cz 75 compact. I took it without hesitation and am happy I did. I have shot many other makes, but the cz is superior by far.
I own a CZ75 (pre-CZ75B) that I purchased new in the early 1980s based on the recommendation of some very experienced shooters who's opinion I respected. I still recall the quote "This is the kind of gun you could throw in the creek for 3 days then pick it up and open fire without a problem". I don't know if that's true, but for at least 6 months I hit the range twice a week and fired off a box of 100 rounds each time and continued to shoot sporadically for years after. Although I don't shoot as much anymore, and I did not keep count, I'm sure I'm conservatively well over 7000 maybe 8000 rounds through this gun without any maintenance beyond regular cleaning. Prior to buying some crap Winchester ammo from Walmart, I had no mis-fires and exactly one spent cartridge not quite clear the chamber. I was so surprised when it happened I remember wondering if I needed to take it to a gunsmith. Extremely consistent, extremely accurate. Look, it's this simple from my perspective. There is no finer 9mm in the world. If you need a full sized 9mm, you don't need to look any further. Buy it.
I must be sick. I bought another CZ 75. A compact one, to keep the full size one company. They're the most accurate 9mm's in my safe!!!!
At the end of today's matches I had passed the 3500 rd mark with my CZ 75B. Not a single stoppage and no bad habits. This gun is exceptionally tight and accurate. It has readily punched out a variety of munitions and loads be they 115, 124 and 147 grain bullets. My next gun will be a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical because I trust this make of gun for quality construction, reliability and durability. Who could ask for more?
I own a CZ 75 B I have owned it for a few years. I wanted to share info. First I have so many offers to buy this gun from me its not even funny Women mostly. It fits the three Girls i let shoot it.
WELL I GOT ANOTHER CZ-75/40 AND I'M GLAD. SWAPPED A GEN-4 G-22 GLOCK FOR A USED CZ-75. TOOK IT TO THE RANGE THE NEXT DAY AND BLEW A BRICK OF UMC YELLOW AND BLACK 250 RNDS THREW IT.NO PROBLEMS,VERY ACCURATE.I AM PLEASED.
This is my first handgun. After researching 9mm pistols, I came across this one, and am glad I did. I have shot Glocks, Rugers, sigs etc., but this gun just feels right from the moment you pick it up. I bought it the polished stainless finish, and it is like a piece of jewelry..Absolutely beautiful. Great accuracy, right out of the box. I handed it to my 18 year old daughter, who had no real experience with a handgun, and she was shooting less than 2 inch patterns at 25 yards, no problem. A great firearm for the price. I will no doubt, own this for a lifetime, or hand it off to a grandchild, provided my dead eye daughters don't chase away their potential mates! Hahaha! A great piece to own and shoot!
This is a great firearm and will shoot everything you put through it. I've owned my CZ75B for about 9 years and never had a stovepipe or round failure. I absolutely find it is a joy to shoot. I recently added some Walnut grips and I plan to add night sights real sights real soon.Would recommend and have recommended the CZ line for years.
Cocked and locked capability, high cap magazines, pupil of the eye accuracy out of the box and glock like reliability. Pair with corbon dpx ammo, and this handgun becomes nearly unsurpassed. Only con would be the size for ccw, but if thats the only con for a pistol, then that's pretty damn good. Buy it. You'll be pleased.
My brand new CZ 75B in 9 mm is the first handgun I've ever purchased and shot extensively but I have to say I think I spoiled myself. This thing is an absolute joy to shoot. First trip to the range I was shooting much better than I ever anticipated and just couldn't get enough. Put several hundred rounds through it this weekend of various brands of ammo and not one single failure of any kind. A great big thanks to CZ for giving us shooters such a fine piece of engineering. A very satisfied customer right here in Kansas City.
I purchased my 75B and it has rapidly become my favorite pistol. I sold a Walther P88 when I discovered that the two pistols shot identical groups. I kept the CZ. This rack grade gun shoots as tight a group as any production pistol I have owned. Ive owned this pistol and shot the heck out of it with full power military ammo for 16yrs. Polymer coating is great, the pistol is reliable and wears so slightly its hard to measure. No issues, tight clearances ,good build quality. All in all a wonderful pistol. Ive owned all kinds of 9mms. This one is first rate.
Just purchased my first CZ a 75B yesterday. I hope that it is not this good, since in the last year, I have acquired 3 different Sigs and really like them.
I've had my CZ75 for only a few months, but I've wanted one for a long time. I finally pulled the trigger at a local gun show (got a great deal) and I just fell in love with the weapon. My 75B (9mm Luger) is an amazing handgun, and my first semi-automatic. What strikes me most is how easy it is to pick up and shoot. A total novice could pick this gun up and be accurate with it--to prove that, I took a friend of mine to the range who'd never handled a pistol before. By the time she'd emptied her second magazine, she was already shooting 2" groups at 10 yards, very impressive for someone who's never shot before. The quality of workmanship is superb, it feels perfect in my larger hands, and it's easy to clean and maintain. Most importantly it just WORKS. My next pistol is likely to be in a larger caliber--likely .45ACP. I see the CZ97 takes .45ACP. I think I figured out what my next gun will be.
This past weekend I passed the 2000 round mark with my exceptionally reliable and pleasingly accurate CZ75B. I and a group of other enthusiasts took the IPSC "Black Badge" course. Two others in this course also had CZ75Bs. Whether it was a deliberate or timed shoots requiring multiple mag changes, my gun performed near flawlessly. The gun was mechanicially sound with my only tense moment being a squib! I'm looking forward to accurately engaging many targets and having a lot of fun over the next months. The gun can't get much better. Hopefully my shooting will! I just need more mags!!
I purchased a CZ 75b new about 1 month ago. It is a great looking and great feeling pistol. The gun I bought has a smooth double action pull with no creep and the single action feels like it breaks around 5-6 lbs. No gritty feel at all. Suprisingly the magazines drop free just like the SA model. I think CZ has upped their game and their production models are now amazing. Thanks CZ for such a superior pistol. Very comfortable and enjoyable gun to shoot. No FTF or FTE in about 500 rounds so far.
This is the third CZ I have bought. The first two were long guns and I was throughly pleased with the workmanship, unbelievebale ruggedness and accuracy of these weapons. So when it came time for a pistol I bought the CZ 75B and never looked back. These things are indestructable, dead on accurate out of the box even with fixed sights and ergonomically the best I have tried. I am getting two more, one for my daughter and another for myself in another caliber just for fun! You can run a truck over these CZ's and not hurt them. After two African safaris I can tell you most of the professional hunters have at least one CZ in their truck because of their ruggedness and absolute dependability.
I received my CZ-75B as a gift for Christmas. Santa was good to me this year. The CZ-75B was the firearm I had been researching for months and decided it was the one for me. I quickly found out why there are no bad reviews on this gun. Out of the box the fit and finish is amazing. The CZ-75B embodies everything I envision when thinking of the perfect pistol. I am a huge fan of the all metal frame and the full sized body. The weight and low recoil help me stay on target while dumping the 17 round mag. Extremely accurate, just point it and shoot . Always on target. The ergonomics make it one of the most natural shooters in my collection. If that’s not enough, it is a breeze to take down and clean. I was a bit concerned when some of the reviews indicated the only hitch was that the tear-down procedure requires a tool and is sometimes tricky. Let me tell you, the removal of the slide stop does not require a tool – just about anything will push it out. Half cock the gun, line up the marks and push out the slide stop. It can even be removed by hand if you want to get after it. I normally use a flat piece of hard plastic though. No “tool” per say required. Overall, this is my favorite gun and I like it more and more every time I take it out. I have nearly 1200 rounds through it so far and I have had zero, yes, zero failure to feed, failure to fire, or failure to eject , failure of any kind using all kinds of ammo – from the cheapest of the cheap to the expensive rounds. The controls are natural and very straight forward. No confusion offered and I am very comfortable with the overall safety and operation of the gun. There are no questions as to the status – ready to fire, on safe, empty, etc… The trigger pull is smooth and very crisp and was fully broken in after the first few hundred rounds. I have no regrets associated with my CZ-75B. I take it with me every time I go out shooting. I can’t say that about any other guns in my collection. There’s nothing I could think of to add or change to make it better. And I can’t say that about any other guns in my collection either. The longer I own it, the more I am convinced it is a piece of art rather than just another semi-auto pistol.
My husband and I purchased the CZ 75B Stainless Steel 9mm today. It is so amazing! We both are thoroughly enjoying our new pistol. The recoil is mild, the grip is perfect for both of us, and the gun is sexy (which is very important - for me)!
I've had my CZ 75 B for over two weeks and have shot about 300 rounds through it. By far, it is the best shooting hand gun in my collection. Recoil is mild, and it points very naturally for me. This is my first, all steel pistol. I don't know why I waited so long; I didn't know what I was missing.
About 20 years ago, I purchased a CZ 75 B, black finish, SA/DA in 9mm. I liked the design and the feel of the pistol in my hand. I have fired over 100,000 rounds of 9mm handloads and about 2,000 U. S. factory loads and about 2,000 rounds of European submachine gun ammo that ran a bit hot in the pressure department. This pistol has digested every configuration of bullet weight, primers, brass and bullet without a failure to feed or cycle. The accuracy is far better from this CZ pistol than from any of the other 10 semi-auto, 9mm pistols I own. Actually, it will out shoot my Colt National Match 45ACP. I carry the CZ 75 frequently and shoot it more frequently and have found that it has required minimal care to keep it running without a stoppage. I have recommended this firearm to literally hundreds of people over the years and continue to do so today. If you do not own a CZ 75 B yet, you are missing out on a fine pistol.
I have owned my duo finish CZ 75B 9mm about three weeks now and I am very impressed. Great accuracy, ease of use and the gun fits like a glove in your hand...amazing! I have shot at least 250 rounds of 115gr Federal, Winchester and cast LRN's hand loads through the gun and have not had a failure to fire, eject or feed. Sights were perfect from the factory and I can group shots touching at 30 feet standing. Overall extremely pleased and impressed.
I own 9 9mm 's and have shot many more over the years. The CZ 75 is one of the least expensive guns in my safe and the most ACCURATE !!! Everyone who shoots it wants to buy one.Real quality and accuracy at an affordable price.
Picked up my CZ 9mm last week and got to a range on Saturday. First, the gun in Satin Nickel looks fantastic. I haven't fired a handgun for nearly 15 years and was amazed that the accuracy was magic. This handgun simply shoots easily, stays on target and is just fun to shoot. I stumbled onto this make and model while researching the Baretta line and am so glad that I did. I would recommend the CZ 75B. So far (not long) it has lived up to the rave reviews that caused me to take a chance, sight unseen. Given the present tightness of available inventory, I was quite lucky!
I bought a 75-P07 two years ago because I thought it looked cool and the price was right. However, once I shot it, it became my favorite pistol over my Glock and Sig Sauers. Since I was so pleased with my P-07, I have done more research on CZ and it's other pistols. I learned that CZ's are becoming more popular in USPSA competitions. I bought a CZ 75-B this past weekend for a great price at Carolina Gun Runners in Raleigh, NC, and took it out to the range after a thorough and needed cleaning. (Both of my CZ's were shipped dripping in oil.) This pistol is very comfortable and unlike my Glock 22, points naturally for me. (I have XL plus hands and have never been a fan of 1911's - I don't care for the grip safety and the grip feels too flat and squared off.)I've wanted a heavy, all steel pistol for quite sometime. The CZ 75-B has exceed my expectations. The trigger is awesome, it's very accurate, easy to control, and I love the fact that I can carry it locked and cocked or half-cocked for a double action pull. This weapon is pure bad-ass, old school fun!
I have wanted a CZ 75B for about two years, ever since I bought a RAMI. Finally traded a brand new Taurus 9mm 1911 for a 14 year old CZ that had spent most of its life in the safe. The Taurus was OK. The 75B is a joy. I wish I had not waited so long. CZ just makes wonderful weapons and while gun snobs seem to like to look down their noses at them, I for one am proud to have found out how wonderful of a weapon they make.
I had a severe case of gun fever. The cure for me is the CZ75b in 9mm, matte stainless. I wanted a high capacity 9mm. I researched for weeks reading articles, and reviews about the various automatic pistols. I boiled it down to two, the Sig 226, and the CZ75b. I chose the CZ. To me it is very aesthetically pleasing. It feels so good it the hand. The recoil is very manageable. It gets right back on target. The gun is very accurate. More importantly it is very easy to shoot accurately. I highly recommend this firearm. You won’t go wrong if you choose the 75b.
I am completely and utterly satisfied with my purchase of a CZ 75B. It shoots perfectly straight right out of the box. I highly recommend this gun to everyone.
I was gonna get a Beretta but they did not have one in black in a 40 rd,Then I looked at the CZ75B in 40 rd the price was right it is black got it took it to the range and Im one happy customer!
I am very impressed with the operation of my CZ75B. I have only put a little over 150 rounds through it and can say this handgun gets better with each session. It's a very accurate weapon. If you're a shooter that likes shooting 1911s then you might want to check out this handgun if you like to shoot 9mm. I would say that it will probably outlast me and be passed down to someone well...when I can no longer.
I've been a gun enthusiast for a number of years now. I even chose to be a 91F (Small Arms Repairer) in the GA Army National Guard. I've bought, and sold, a number of pistols over the years. Essentially testing out what I felt comfortable with. I've never been incredibly impressed with the cross-section of reliability, accuracy, and ergonomics with most of them. Then I bought a CZ75b. After thousands of rounds fired, I've never had a stoppage. I've never considered myself a good pistol shooter, but then again, I've never shot a pistol I've enjoyed shooting very well. Since buying my CZ, and enjoying it so much, I've gone from a so so pistol shooter, to an impressive one. A friend of mine an I enjoy playing HORSE at the range (miss the target, you get a letter, first one to HORSE losses). I went 5 of 6 perfect games at 50 ft. He got multiple letters with every game with a Barretta 92. Then we traded, and he went 3 0f 6 perfect games with my CZ. I repair weapons for the Army, and suggest that CZ do the Army a favor and put in a submission for the next trials for a new Army service pistol. V/r Matt
I have a CZ 75 since 1992, the IPSC shooting mode changed to Open, has never failed me and is a machine. I am very proud to shoot in my country (Chile) in competition with my CZ IPSC I attached photo regards
Having owned and shot a full sized CZ 75B for years, I recently purchased a Two-Tone CZ 75 Compact 9mm. Not only is it the most beautiful pistol around; it is dead-on accurate, has perfect ergonomics and is a joy to shoot. I take it to the range and everyone oohs and ahhs over this gun. It's a bit bigger and heavier than my Glock 19 but it's easy to carry, shoots and handles perfectly and is just plain cool to look at in that awesome two-tone finish. I want a set of the thin coco bolo grips for it off the CZ custom site and can't wait to put 'em on her. CZ rocks; hands down the finest, best looking, and best shooting guns I own. Beauty is not only in the looks department but in the design, the position and size of the controls, the awesome trigger, and that perfectly designed and executed CZ grip! I will never part with my CZ pistols; I need a bigger safe so I can add to my collection!
I bought my CZ 75B this past September & I've put near 800 rds thru it to date of all grains and powder qualities from high-end Federal to low-end Russian ammo. This gun eats it all without a single stoppage and groups it tight at 20m. I grew up on a mil-issue Browning HP so the CZ is familiar yet modern. I like the all-steel construction since I plan on shooting it for years to come and expect my guns to be rugged enough to take rough handling when the situation dictates. Good job.
I've had my CZ for about 5 years now. It has been by far te best hamdgun I have ever owned. The balance and weight are excellent. I constantly shoot tight paterns with it every time I go to the shooting range. I am looking at getting me another.
I own two CZ pistols, a CZ-75b and a CZ 40P. Both are without a doubt worth more than what I paid for them. I own several other pistols including Glock, Walther and Springfield Armory, and I have to say that when I go to the range or look for a pistol for home defense or concealed carry, I grab one of my CZ's. Great company, keep up the good work!
Io sono un felice possessore della CZ 75 B,ne sono fiero e orgoglioso, arma fantastica.Ciao!!!!!!!
The CZ75B is the most accurate pistol Ive ever shot! Including the current german made pitols!I plan on getting a dual tone 9mm or satin nickel 40s&w next.
I recently sent you a description of my experience with the CZ 75B 40 cal.. but I mentioned the CZ 83 I meant to say a 380, but I also have a CZ 82 which are all great guns,, sorry for the mistake.
The CZ75 B 40 cal is one of the finest shooting handguns I have ever owned or shot, I was hitting a small pie plate at 40 yds, I haven't practiced with my CZ83 9mm. The CZ people really know what they are doing. Thanks for a great pistol.
The CZ-75b was the first handgun I ever purchased. I had actually wanted one ever since I saw the Gunsmith Cats animation and read the Japanese manga, where the gun is prominent. Having shot and trained with it, I realize that it truly is a wonderful design and I hope to own many more in my lifetime.
I bought the CZ 75 B .40 in polycoat in June '07. Sold my other .40 to buy this one and I still love it. It's the best feeling, best shooting .40 I've ever owned. It's also my daily CCW piece. Love it so much I wound up buying TWO of your rifles to boot!!
I purchased this gun 5 years ago and have fired over 1000 rounds through it and never had a jam or misfire. I even used a smith & wesson clip by mistake and it fired 14 of 15 rounds before it malfunctioned. "great gun "
I Love the CZ-75B
I am a tremendous fan of the CZ-75 platform of pistols. I have never had my CZ-75B malfunction, with any type of ball, hollow-point, or lead bulleted ammunition. Accuracy has been superb, as my pistol will often out-shoot SIGs and Glocks compared against it. All at a fraction of their price. The ergonomics make this pistol feel better than anything else out there. A winner, to be sure. Mike K., former NRA Action PA State Champion
I have a cz75b, i have fired thousands of rounds with it, it has taken a lot of abuse whenever I take it with me to the boondocks (rain, humidity during the monsoon seasons and dust and sand during the summer months) and sea water exposure, but despite this my cz75b is still as reliable and accurate as when it was still brand new..
I was about to drop $1200 on an H&K .45, Thank god I found this CZ75B first. recoil is great, accuracy is amazing, and the best part saving $700 makes this pistol a great investment. Thanks again CZ!
After a year of research, and testing guns, I purchased my first semi automatic, the CZ75B. What finally sold me on the CZ, was the fact that I could not find any negative reviews of this gun on line....none! I used it for the first time last week, and in a word it was great! It feels great and it shoots great. One of the things that I love most, is that the all metal construction gives it some weight. Some of these polymer guns feel like toy guns. My CZ feels the way a gun should feel. Well done CZ USA!
I just purchaced my first semi automatic, the 75B. One of the main reasons for buying the 75B, is that I cannot find any bad reviews on line. I went on a Police website, and found 12 reviews, all 5 stars! I just took it to the range, and I am not disappointed. I love this gun!! Its Shoots great, is easy to aim, and it feels perfectly balanced, it feels like a real gun. Most of the polymer guns I have handled feel like toy guns. The 75B feels solid, with some heft to it...the way a gun should feel. Well done CZ!
I currently own 3 CZ pistols a 97B,75B 9mm and a 40P. Soon to add a 4th. I have had these for several years and all I can say is outstanding both accuracy and function. Keep up the GREAT Work. Can't say about the customer service as I have never had to send one back. I guess that says it all.
The CZ 75 B is one of the best 9mm's I've shot and/or owned. It's accurate and dependable. I've shot thousands of rounds between cleanings (shame on me) without ever having an issue and never a single jam up. When I have torn it down, it's very easy to dissasemble, clean and re-assemble. I can't speak highly enough of this pistol! Great job CZ-USA!
I recently purchased my CZ 75B from a local dealer. I've always wanted to get my hands on one,and I'm glad I finally did! This thing works perfectly, and the all-steel construction really helps with recoil. Accuracy is right on the money.Feeds everything I've given it so far. Take-down for cleaning is easy and uncomplicated.
I purchased my CZ75B at an Academy store in Texas in 2007 for $***.** (one heck of a bargain). I have run several brands of fmj, jhp, and +p through the gun with no malfunctions. It is extremely accurate and comfortable to shoot. I have two very nice 1911's, but the pistol I keep in my nightstand is the CZ75B because I know it will not jam, period, and the amount of firepower available is superior (17+1=18 rounds of 9mm). My compliments and respect to CZ.
i have a cz 223 and a cz 7mm mag and a cz 20 ga. i just bought a cz 75d 9mm and just love it it out shoots the other pistols that i have as does the cz rifles. i have been selling my other rifles and pistols and buying cz's they are the best and they have best accuracy of all my fire arms. Why do i need anything else i have my cz's
For the last 5 years I've shot in my club's monthly action pistol match where I've used both the CZ-75B and a Glock 34 in the same division. Both are excellant guns, but in 90% of the matches over that period of time, I'll end up higher in the standings with the CZ-75B over the Glock. I even practice twice as much with the Glock , seeing if I can get better with it, but all I have to do is put the CZ-75B in my hand and I'll do better. The CZ-75B is a great fitting and pointing and shooting gun. My wife also does well with her SP01. Thanks CZ for making great guns.
I go over the features of the CZ-75B 9mm Handgun. I highly reccomend the CZ-75B to anyone looking for a well built handgun.
Be sure to watch part 2!
