The CZ 512 is an entirely new semi-auto rimfire rifle from CZ. The modular design is easily maintained, requiring only a coin as a tool for field stripping. The action of the 512 is composed of an aluminum alloy upper receiver that secures the barrel and bolt assembly and a fiberglass-reinforced polymer lower half that houses the trigger mechanism and detachable magazine. The 512 shares magazines and scope rings with the CZ 455 making it the perfect complement to your bolt-action rifle.
The 512 is equipped with dual guide rods for smooth operation and superior reliability. The barrel is the same accurate hammer forged barrel found on all CZs, topped with adjustable sights. An integral 11mm dovetail allows easy mounting of optics.

Purchased one in February Put a 4x32 Scope on it. This thing is amazing 1st shot right on and the rest were right there very tight group!! What a great and fun rifle!! Thanks CZ!!:)
I bought one of these in Feb, 2012. Difficult to find, and ended up paying $30 over suggested retail. I had no problem with that as I know CZ's quality-and I wanted it NOW. I always clean and relube a new gun before I shoot it, and check the barrel float. From a rest, the gun would shoot 1/2 moa with the iron sights. I took it to the range, and took 5 shots at 3 pieces of broken clays on the berm at 200 meters (iron sights). I did miss twice, but the misses were very slightly under both times. As for not shooting Win Super X ammo, I've been shooting it since 1965 and never have I had any problem with it. That's what I'm shooting in the CZ, and no problems feeding. Just keep it clean and when it's broken in, you shouldn't have any problems. (The problem with Ruger's breaking extractors is directly related to NOT keeping the chamber clean. By the way, I currently have 5 other guns chamber in the 22WMR. One of 'em is a CZ bolt. No problems with it either. This is my 4th CZ rifle (two of 'em are 550 Varmints). I can say that all my CZ's are very accurate, and shoot as well as my custom builds that cost much more. Closest thing to a match rifle without the price tag. All 4 are less than 1/2 moa at 100, out of the box. One of these days, I'm going to put a scope on the 512 just to see how accurate it really is. After breaking those clay pieces at 200m, I decided it is a "keeper".
Right out of the box the 512 wmr placed 8 of 10 into a 2"x3" target at 60 yards+ with the sights supplied. Still looking for extended mags though. Good looking rifle.
I had been looking for a quality 22 Mag automatic. They are very hard to find. But I lucked up on one at my gun store. Wow what a rifle! It is my fun gun to shoot and to hunt cayotes. Can not say enough about this gun. LOVE IT is not adequate it is another WINNER from CZ. If you want a 22 Mag and you find this one GRAB IT you will not be disapoiinted.
The quality and reliability of this gun is fantastic. The accuracy is amazing - I've shot NRA Distinguished Expert qualification with flying colors. After about 3000 rounds of various .22LR ammo - NOT A SINGLE JAM (yet). Stripping and cleaning is easy. Thanks, CZ!
This gun is absolutely fantastic, I am going to be honest about my review. This is my first .22 Mag that I have ever owned. My other .22 is a Remington Nylon 66 but that is a .22lr caliber. The CZ 512 is a beautiful very very accurate gun. I shot a dime from 300 yard with a mounted scope on the first try. Before I mounted the scope and the first time I shot it out of the box, literally the first time I shot this gun, my bunch was 6 rounds at an inch and a half spread. There is a down side to this fun though. Winchester .22 WMR hollow point ammo is a big no no for this gun. It will jam with that junk ammo. Now CCI on the other hand, the gun has never jammed, ever, that is a promise. I put 3000 rounds through this gun without cleaning it using CCI ammo and it did not jam. THe winchester ammo on the other hand will jam with this gun at least one time per clip. STAY WAY AWAY FROM WINCHESTER AMMO WITH THIS GUN!!! The up side though, hornady and CCI shoots perfect out of this gun, I havent tryed any other brand of ammo besides those 3 for this gun. Another thing that might bother some people would be that the gun's trigger is stiff a little bit. I know how to pull the trigger the right way so it doesn't bother me. All and all though this gun beats out Kimber rifles, winchester rifles, remington rifles, because I have seen this gun beat out all other rifles in a competition, that is what made me buy this gun. For $500 you cannot beat this gun, and for $500 dollars it will be hard to find a semi auto .22WMR rifle. I would have paid 800 dollars for this rifle guaranteed.
It took a while to find one of these, but it was worth the wait. This rifle works flawlessly and makes the competition semi-auto rifle look cheap. This thing is beautiful. Nice job on a keeper.
Scoped at 100ds, in poor light, shot this very fine group
At the range today I tested my new 512 and found it to be very accurate, shot a 2" group at 100 yds open sights, had a few jams but after re-oiling receiver no problems, this is a very interesting rifle for the price
