  i purchased this gun about 6 months ago. infact i traded 2 firearms to get this rifle and scope combo. the way it sits: cz452 american .22wmr, haris bipop, 7-21x40 bushnell 3200, trigger at 1.5lbs. using hornady 30grain v-max i am easyly sub MOA at 100yrds. 250 yrds i am hittind sporting clays. the best part is the only part of this firearm that is plastic is the butt plate. very solid and extreamly happy with my purchase and will be buying more CZ products in the feuture (550 and 712)

  If you consider which rifle I reach for and shoot the most, then my CZ 452 American .22LR must be that rifle. I have shot 1" groups at 100 yards with cheap CCI Blazer ammo (sorted by weight), and Wolf Match Target can do better than that. The local prairie dogs hate this rifle. The 4.5-14x32 Burris Timberline with Burris rimfire high rings is the perfect scope complement to this fine rifle. The 452 American can benefit from such a high mag range because it is far more accurate than the average .22LR rimfire. The only thing I use my Ruger 10-22 for anymore is shooting up the trash ammo that isn't good enough for my CZ 452.

  I was looking at a new 22, then I seen the 17HMR ca. After reading reports I bought a CZ 452 American in 17 HMR. I an very impressed with the gun. I added a bushnell 4200 elite 4-16 x 50 scpoe. At the range I can shoot push pins at 100 yards. The gun is the best shooting gun I have ever seen. I will be getting more of the CZ rifles. Thank you...len

  I shopped around a while for my .22. I settled on this rifle after reading a lot. It is a beautiful gun. I use a 3-9x40 scope and solid ammo labeled "target grade". I have yet to be shown up by any of my friends .22's. This gun continues to impress me every time out. I would say if you have the money, go for the fancy trigger that cz offers though.

  I have a CZ452 American with a 16" threaded barrel in .22LR. I get 3/4" to 1" groups at 100yds when there is no wind with Winchester X-Pert 36gr bulk pack ammo, which it shoots the best out of most other reasonably priced .22LR ammo. It also makes an excellent suppressor host, and with a decent suppressor and subsonic ammunition it is quieter than BB gun. CZ's line of rimfire rifles are some of the highest quality and best shooting .22's you can get without going into the $1000+ match rifles.

  i have recently purchased a 452 from my local dealer and have to say that i'm nothing but impressed with the guns accuracy! this is a beatiful piece of work and i'm really wishing i would have spent the extra dollars for the better trigger option. i've since installed a Timney trigger in the gun and have to say that it brought my 3/4" gruops at 100 yards down to 1/2"! thanks for the great gun!

  I got one of these rifles last year and I love it! It shoots great with just about any ammo, even the bargain stuff. If CZ made the 550 Left hand American in 416 Rigby I'd buy it immediately.

  Bought the 452 American a few months ago...sorry to see they are being discontinued, because it is an excellent rifle. Had some issues with magazines seating initially; ended up being the magazines, not the action. Mounted a rubber butt pad, less slippage than the hard one that is stock. Harris bipod, inexpensive Intensity Optics scope 4-12X44. Shot 1/2" & 5/8" groups at 100 yds consistently, with several different ammos; Remington 33 gr., Federal HP 30 gr., CCI BT 30 gr, Hornady BT 30 gr. All had same accuracy. can't speak highly enough about this rifle!

  Bought a CZ 452 American in 17Mach2 after my second deployment. Mounted an inexpensive Tasco 3x9 on it. Shoots sub half inch at 100m. Used it in northern Utah to shoot "potguts"(ground squirrels) out to 200m with devastating effects. Love this rifle.

  This is the last groundhog of the 09 season. It was shot just north of Quebec city, Quebec, Canada in mid august. Ishot it at 75 yard with a 452 American in 17HMR. It's top with a Bushnell Trophy 6x18x40. It's a real hog blaster. Can't wait till next spring.

  Not only is my 452 American accurate.  It is accurate with cheap ammo!!!  Groups are 5 shots over bags @ 50 yards.

  Back in October of 2008 i purchased the CZ American 452 .22LR.   I have used it ever since and loved it!   I got BSA sweet22 scope to mount on it and with the two of those working together, i can compete with my uncle's Anchutz who tends to brag alot. For that purpose i feel that i have the right to rub in his face that my gun which cost only a third of what he paid shoots just as good at fifty yards. When i shoot, i shoot at forty three yards but that is all the farther i have here at my house. My best group that i have ever shot was about the size of my little finger's fingernail!  Other than the outstanding performance it gives me the physical appearance of it is out of this world! I take it to friends' houses and they are always jealous and if anybody else is there they have to stop and admire it.  I love to show off my stuff.  The reason i have recently been on this site because i am so pleased with my .22 that i am now in the market of a .17 and have been investigating in the 452 varmint. I hope that any other potential gun buyers stop here and put some serious thought into these guns!!!
